Are you pregnant ... This is the most important information about childbirth Cesarean | MOMSANDCHILD

In some cases, childbirth may be very difficult, and doctors resort to surgical intervention so that the mother does not lose her life, and they perform abdominal and uterine cutting to extract the fetus and placenta, then stitching and closing, and this process is called cesarean delivery .. Therefore, cesarean delivery has its causes and risks for the mother and the child, and we will explain that. Below ...

Why do we resort to cesarean childbirth:

Caesarean section is not performed in all cases, of course, except when the doctor considers that the reasons that prevent natural childbirth have been presented in a way that allows him to perform a cesarean delivery. Among the most important reasons:
1- Enlarging the size of the fetus and narrowing the size of the uterus: Sometimes the size of the fetus is estimated at more than 3 kilograms, and the uterus or pelvis in the mother is narrow, so the doctor resorts to the operation. So as not to affect the mother and the fetus together.
2- The transverse position instead of the vertical position: In some cases, the fetus is in the transverse position and the uterus is completely blocked and the doctor cannot remove its head from the uterus, not even its foot, so the solution in front of him is to conduct a cesarean delivery.
3 - The presence of more than one fetus inside the abdomen: It happens that the doctor is pregnant with one or three fetuses inside one abdomen, so it is difficult for him to perform the natural process, so he resorts to general anesthesia and then performs a cesarean delivery.
4- Rupture of the uterine wall: the rupture of the uterine wall increases blood pressure and leads to an increase in the heart rate than usual, and then it is impossible to have a normal delivery.

Risks of cesarean childbirth:

1- For the mother: The most difficult threat to the mother in a cesarean delivery is death, according to medical reports. For every 100,000 cases of Caesarean delivery, 13 mothers die. One of the risks that may threaten the life of the mother is that the heartbeat is temporarily stopped, or the doctor may resort to removing parts of the abdomen when the mother's abdomen is not empty.
Other risks include severe loss for women who have had a cesarean section before and this increases the incidence of problems during pregnancy and the risk of developing placenta accreta, which is a life-threatening condition by 0.13% after one caesarean delivery and increases to 2.13% after four births and then to 6.74% after six births. These results are based on a study that included nearly 30,132 cesarean sections ... In addition, there is a similar increase in hysterectomy as may be the rate of depression in mothers after childbirth.
2- For the fetus: premature birth by choosing the mother before the thirty-ninth week of pregnancy, which takes place without medical necessity, is a definite risk to the fetus without knowledge of benefit to the mother ... Among the risks that threaten fetuses in cesarean deliveries are high mortality rates, lack of oxygen at birth or The birth of the baby is incomplete and requires outside incubation or possibly increased heart rates which can lead to death if the due date is late.
Medical reports indicate that out of every 1000 cases of cesarean delivery, 77 fetuses die of a woman who has given birth before ... and an average of 66 fetuses die out of every 1000 cases of women who give birth for the first time.

We end this conversation with some preventive methods that doctors urge to avoid the dangers of a cesarean delivery for a pregnant woman, namely: allowing the woman to pay for at least two hours if she had given birth before, and exercise during pregnancy reduces the risks, avoiding anxiety, tension and fear as much as possible and avoiding smoking But the World Health Organization always recommends not to perform the operation without the permission of the specialist.
